> FICA, the Fago Institute of Culinary Arts, is a culinary school concept located in Taranto, Italy. The client is looking to establish a strong, recognizable brand identity that showcases its values and characteristics, given that it is the inaugural year.

> To achieve a dynamic catalog that represents the school and brand, rounds of sketches were completed. This stage developed the ideation for unique layouts to showcase the assorted apparel and school merchandise. There was a heavy emphasis on choosing a grid structure to keep the catalog consistent and readable for students, their families, and others who have no previous experience or knowledge of the school.

> Throughout the sketching phase, the most important adjective was “dynamicism,” referencing the constant movement in the kitchen. In addition, the flight motif was developed to represent the launchpad and bright future students have ahead of them when completing the course.

> The composition stage involved experimentation with the four tone color palette and more in-depth text positioning. These brought the oceanic rhythm to life and informed the hierarchal and creative decisions made in the final digital version.
